Where it Started

A few years later, another prominent resident built a grocery store close to the historic home and introduced the idea to name the town after the first person who put the town on the map: Dr. Colley, which is how it became Colleyville, as we know it today.

Starting with public schools, the Colleyville-Grapevine combined school district operates neighborhood oriented elementary and middle schools while the two area high schools serve the entire area.
